Recently my interest for American Sign Language has increased, so I started my journey on searching for different website to compare to which one I should use, by far ASLdeafined is the BEST one online that I’ve found so far. The whole cochlear implants procedure seems scary to me. The procedure should be decided by the individual receiving it. I think Parents should let their child decide when they are older enough, if the would like to learn ASL or what avenue of communication they prefer. Most likely as a deaf infant parents start teaching their child ASL or TC (total communication). I forwarded my friend the ASLdeafined newsletter. I believe that ASLDeafined online program is a great way to start learning ASL.

I’ve never understood why so many people are opposed to them. It’s a personal choice and is no reflection (good or bad) on anyone else. Lots of my friends have them, and some are happy with them while others aren’t. If I were young, I would be considering one, but I believe at this point I’m better off using the skills I’ve got already.
