  1. I tend to use PSE. I am not a native signer, and learned sign language from a community college. I wished ASLdeafined was around when I was in school. Nice website.

  2. I learned somewhat ASL from a book that featured art work. Video is far better and more effective. I lost interest with books as it wasn’t easy figuring out the signs, so many I learned were incorrect. The video format has been a wonderful way for me to correct my errors and to learn additional signs. Thanks.

  3. Thank you Marlene for your comments. I agree with you, learning from a book is very difficult. I had the same problem learning as you described. I am glad ASLdeafined can help you achieve your sign language goals. All the best to you.

  4. I took some ASL classes in college a few years ago. My deaf friends tell me that I sign more PSE, so I decided to sign up for ASLdeafined last week and I really enjoy the site!!!

  5. A few years ago, I took a signing class at the community center. I believe I learned ASL.

  6. I have Deaf parents and grew up signing ASL. Now that I live in a different state I really don’t sign much, I think I sign more of a PSE now. I just found out about ASLdeafined.com at my daughter school, she is taking ASL classes and the use the site.

  7. Before starting ASLdeafined.com I use to sign PSE. Now that I’ve been using the site for few months I’m signing more ASL.

  8. I was born deaf and started school at an early age. I was in a special program I was taught the oral method, but it didn’t workout for me. So teachers decided to use total communication that worked out for awhile, but I ended up using ASL. ASL is the way to go!!!!

  9. I use ASL/ PSE depends who am communicating with. The site is a wonderful place to start learning ASL.
