Although this seems like common sense, it’s important to reiterate the proper way to get a Deaf person’s attention. Do NOT: throw things, hit, shove, yell as loud as you can, etc. to get someone’s attention. Just like with a hearing person, treat them with respect. All you need to do is a light tap on the shoulder to notify someone you need their attention.
