FULL vs FED UP – What’s the difference?

We had an interesting question on our Twitter page’s #SignOfTheDay: Can you use the sign for FULL to mean FED UP?

Our handy-dandy experts say… YES! This sign can be used to mean both FULL and FED UP. You can avoid confusion by setting up context. For example, you would talk about what is upsetting you and then sign FULL. Within this context you change the meaning to the sign to FED UP!

Facial expressions are also very important. When you sign FED UP your face will generally look upset or maybe even angry! If you are FULL you might also grab your stomach or make an exaggerated puffed face. These facial expressions help reinforce your intended meaning.

A special Thank You to follower @MicheleSingleL for the fantastic question!
